Korea

I just returned from a week-long trip to South Korea for a military medical conference, so I thought I would share some of the pictures. I knew next to nothing about the Korean war, so it was very interesting to go to the war museum to learn more about it. Was also able to visit the 3rd tunnel that the North Koreans made to try and invade South Korea and the DMZ (demilitarized zone). I was also somewhat adventurous and tried the kimchi, seaweed and even eel. Far cry from fish and chips (aren't you proud of me honey? never ate that or a burger once!) but not too bad actually. All in all, a nice place to visit for a short time, but I will take the good old U.S. of A anytime.

Check out the pics here:

You forgot to mention how scary you were to the locals. You, singlehandedly, could have won the Korean conflict.

Good job on trying rotten cabbage :-)

I loved the picture of you 3 redheads. I'm very proud of you! And why were you scary to the locals?

I think I was probably the tallest woman they have ever seen. CPT Fann, the girl next to me in that one picture, and I were on a tour and went into one of the restrooms. There were these three little Korean ladies standing in line in front of us and they were talking and giggling. One of the ladies must have seen us in the corner of her eye, and she turned and jumped and let out a little scream because apparently we are very, very scary. Then her and her little friends starting talking really fast, giggling and pointing at us. It was pretty funny.
